The vision and mission for my Hip Hop rap show is to continue what Dr Duncan did with Kasahare, by giving talents like Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, D-Cryme and others a platform which has exposed the talents within them to the world.
These were the words of Maximous Mensah, popularly known as Dr Pounds in an interview with GhJoy.Net
Dr Pounds, who is currently the manager of Kumasi based rapper, Strongman Burner has deemed it a task to push rap talents on his Hip Hop show on Pluzz, 89.9FM.
He dreams to see great musicians he has helped through his Hip Hop show make Ghana proud in the future.
I want to keep that dream of Dr Duncan alive by promoting GH RAP on my show, just to have more streamline musicians in the future. He stated
Dr Pounds is also the host of Friday Popping on Pluzz fm.
Friday popping according to Dr Pounds is a special Friday Night that he spends with fans and celebrities at the station.
This is what he does, he invites celebrities and fans to mingle and share crazy moments together.
Unlike the usual radio interview where you sometimes panic with the kind of questions awaiting you, Friday Popping is like a hangout with Dr Pounds, drinking, eating and dancing your feet off. Kumawood actress, Nana Ama McBrown endorsed Friday Popping after becoming a victim.
Dr Pounds’ Hip Hop rap show is on every Saturday from 3-7 pm every Friday, from 6-10pm for Friday Popping.
