[PHOTOS]: Abeiku Santana And Kofi Wayo Put Smiles On The Faces Of The Aged

Celebrated Ghanaian media personality and tourism ambassador Gilbert Abeiku Aggrey well-known as Abeiku Santana together with Founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party – URP, Chuck Kofi Wayo on Friday July 22 2016 put smiles on the faces of over 45 aged but needy women in Ghana as they presented cash and gift items to the said women.

Presenting the gift items to the aged and needy women who have been sidelined by a majority of Ghanaians during the drive time show on OKay FM in Accra, the women, some of whom had come from as far as the Eastern Region of Accra thanked Abeiku Santana and Kofi Wayo for such a gesture and for keeping them in their thoughts.

According to www.nydjlive.com after the presentation, Abeiku Santana disclosed the initiative came about as Kofi Wayo visited him on his show and talked about the plight some old women in the villages he (Kofi Wayo) had visited and the struggles they went through to make ends meet.

According to him, they therefore decided to support 20 aged but needy women in Accra which later turned out to be a fiesta for almost 45 old women.

The women were each presented with gift items including clothes, bags of rice, oil, mackerel and an undisclosed amount of money.

Although Kofi Wayo had presented GHC2000 towards the donation, he added an extra GHC2000 looking at the numbers that turned up on the day.

According to Abeiku Santana, the gesture will not be a nine-day wonder but will continue to support the aged for their contributions to society.
