Multiple hit maker Kontihene has revealed he was the reason why Pappy of 5Five fame lost his spot in the music industry.
Speaking to Dr Cann on Happy 98.9 FM’s Showbiz Xtra on Saturday morning, the Aketesea hit maker revealed;
“I have history with Bulldog. I think it was the same time he was managing Papi of 5Five. I was doing sound check on stage and the bands men had a personal issue and were misbehaving during the rehearsal. I later heard they were fighting because one had snatched the other’s girlfriend.
“I later realized 5Five was supposed to rehearse after I finished. Papi of 5Five, I don’t think he can do music anymore. He is very stupid. While I was doing my sound check. This little boy came on stage to snatch the mic from me. When these children grow and start suffering, it’s because of these type of stupid behaviors.
“Papi is a child, I want to believe when I was doing music, he was wearing diapers. Because his manager was Bulldog, he had the guts to climb the stage to snatch my mic?
“In Nigeria, most artists excel because they respects the elders. How can I jumped on stage and snatch a microphone from someone because I feel they have been on the rehearsal stage for long. I’m not an organizer.
“That’s why he can’t make music anymore. I asked Papi who he was and Bulldog stormed on stage and started shouting ‘I will beat you you’. From then, I said that ‘If he was able to continue his career, I will stop music’. When did Papi start music? When did he start smoking marijuana?” Kontihene queried.
Moments after this; Kontihene defended Shatta Wale’s #WMT single which sparked controversy for being profane. He also bashed MUSIGA president Obour for taking sides with critics of Shatta Wale after he Obour had written, recorded and released songs including Atopa Jen Jen and Aboa Kon Kon Tiba.
But studio pundits of the day, Mr Logic and Bulldog who have worked with Shatta Wale before his rise and inescapable influence respectively disagreed with Kontihene’s defense of the profane song.
The Mi Gi Zi Gi rapper infuriated by questions from the pundits questioning how he knew Shatta Wale stormed out of the studio.
