Nana Yaw Adjei Maradona, popularly known for been the artiste with the most hit singles in the country, Hip Hop artiste Guru is still focused on working to bring out the best of music for His fans although He lost bitterly at the ended VGMA.
The rapper, who recently released 2 singles which includes “Edumfa”, the song which is termed as the most controversial song released in 2015 by critics, was on interviewed on Kumasi Based Ultimate Radio’s E-Flash with Foster Agor and had a lot to say.
When asked why he named His studio album “Clean Up”, Guru Said;
“Clean Up is a compilation of songs that I have recorded for some years ago which were not released. For example it took 2 years for a song like Mpaebo to be released. There were slogans that were used in my music that I cannot use anymore because a lot of ideas come to mind as I sit to write. Listening to Boys Abr3 with Lil Shaker, there were these slogans I used and I cannot use as at now. The album will be more of cleaning up my music library of the quality songs I have recorded about 2 years ago but were not able to release due to one or two reasons.”
Guru certainly has had His fair share of criticisms and He has been quiet about. He went on to say that, it was about time He addresses some issues pertaining him and the image He has created for himself over the years setting example of some artiste claiming He (Guru) stole the Edumfa idea from him which was actually recorded 2 year ago.
He said;
“I work so hard for myself so if anybody just rises up to make allegations against me and the works I have brought out, I will not wait for my management to speak out but will do that myself.”
He went on to make reference of a fellow artiste who went on GTV to make allegations against him just because the person was given the platform. He said His management decides not to pay heed or respond to allegations but focus on making good music for His fans, But He will be replying them from now as His fans deserve to know the truth.
