After years with Liverpool, Steven Gerrard has revealed that he will always regret not winning the English Premier League.
The midfielder who is preparing for his last game in Anfield as Liverpool player has won almost everything in club football.
FA Cup, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Champions League, League Cup are some of the trophies that 33-year-old won during his time as a Liverpool player.
The EPL title however eluded him despite coming close to it twice.
"I look back at it with pride. I'm really proud of what I've achieved here," Gerrard said during his press conference on today Thursday, May 14.
"All the trophies I've won and all the great memories I've had.
"Certainly not winning the Premier League will be a dent in that. There's nothing I can do about it now. That's certainly a regret I will go away with.
"I've got to look at the big picture, growing up as a boy, dreaming of playing for Liverpool just that one time, and sitting here now with 708 appearances I've achieved an awful lot more than I thought I would in the beginning."
