Converted Highlife musician Ofori Amponsah has revealed that he deserted God during the peak of his success in show business.
According to him, the outstanding feat he saw in his music career blinded his allegiance to God even though he prayed fervently for his favor when he began the profession.
Speaking on Starr Chat with Bola Ray Wednesday, the ‘Otoolege’ hitmaker, however, said he realised his mistake along the line and decided to make amends, hence his decision to be born-again.
“ I forgot about God completely when I started seeing all that success in my career. But I remember when I was starting, I prayed every day and asked him to make me what I am today,” the ‘Sardine’ singer stated.
Amponsah also dismissed claims that he was not called by God to do his will but forced himself into the church business.
“…I received a call from God, God really called me.
“I wasn’t singing secular music as some may call it, I was singing love songs and I touched a lot of people with my music. Couples listened to my music and they made up after fighting,” he noted.
