You will all agree with me that the Ghana entertainment industry is going through a great revolution. A revolution which is eating deep, each passing day. We are in a period where there is a unanimous call for entertainers to be carried along in the decision making process of the industry.
As at the moment, Ghanaian celebrities are one of the most influential in Africa, following to their tireless contributions in the gradual development of communities. In as much as this high value is attained, a lot of work needs to be done!
Latent Hub, a fast growing entertainment body geared with the objective of offering a platform, where uncelebrated entertainers are recognized and appreciated presents the first ever edition of the annual Ghana Underground Music Awards, which will indeed revolutionise entertainment in Ghana.
In recent past, several programs and bodies have been put in place to further open the horizon of the entertainment industry here in Ghana.
However, none has ventured into the business of creating an enabling environment where artistes from the non "mainstream" sect have a chance of honor.
We all cannot push away the meaningful contributions this bunch of talents have offered this industry and today's success.
The success of the music industry is highly subject to the progress and development of talents.
NB: The award which is slated 14th November 2015 features 24 categories.

• Song Submission - 6th to 30th September 2015
• Announcement of Nominees - 5th October 2015
• Voting - 8th to 27th October 2015
• Nominees Party - 17th October 2015
• Main Event/After Party - 14th November 2015
• Winners Concert - 5th December 2015

15. Best Spoken Words Artiste
16. Best Song for the Youth
17. Lyricist of the Year
18. Best Songwriter

21. Best Website for the Undergrounds
22. Best Ghana Underground Music Promoter
23. Best TV show for the undergrounds
24. Best radio show for the undergrounds
SONG SUBMISSION PROCESS
•Download nomination forms (Check our social media pages for link to form)
•Fill with required details
•Submit the forms together with a maximum of two songs on a CD to Latent Hub's Office or scan and submit form to the GUM Awards email together with songs you want to submit.
NOMINATION PROCESS
•Our panel will listen to submitted songs and nominate artistes who fit in any of the 24 awards categories
VOTING PROCESS
•Voting is 100% public via online voting
The BEST DJ/BEST PRESENTER & BEST BLOG category will all be based on recommendation from artistes. The more a Dj, Presenter or a Blog is been recommended by artistes, the better their chances of getting nominated.
