Team Legacy Music rapper Opeimu is a young talented versatile upcoming Ghanaian musician, entertainer and songwriter. Born Agyekum Osafo Patrick to mr. Agyekum and mrs. Edna Asabea at Kwahu-Obomeng on June 11, 1995.
Opeimu, who is known in ordinary life as Agyekum Osafo Patrick and hails from Kwahu-Obomeng in the Eastern part of Ghana, is for real on top of the new generation of African music acts worldwide (HipHop/Rap).
He schooled in Ghana, attended his primary and JSH education level in Dag-Hammerskjeold Memorial Institute, Nkwatia Presby Senior. High (NKWASCO) but completed his SHS education level in Akuse Methodist Senior High Tech. School and then went to his tertiary education in Presbyterian University College (PUC).
He started his journey into hip hop/rap way back to junior high in the year 2008. In Dag-Hammerskjeold Memorial Institute, he was involved in various social activities in which he was made to perform from the stage.
He recorded his first track series in 2009, after he completed JSH and kept on going by performing at school events. Opeimu was going towards the direction of an emcee as his ability to freestyle was made known to the people in his community and schools he attended. He’s now attending the All Nations University in Koforiudua,Ghana; in his level 200 studying Business Administration - Human Resource Management .
Many Ghanaians in his community recognize him as one of the rare talents who have the swag on rap, have the creativity style, lyrically well and punch hard on any beat.
Opeimu possesses various music styles which make him very versatile. He is however more inclined to Hip-Hop/ Hiplife and often raps and sings in English blended with Twi and Pigin.
Currently unsigned, Opeimu’s life has been about believing in his dreams and working hard to achieve them.
With a powerful imagination, creativity and a gift with words marrying and mating and birthing good music, he reaches to the depths of his talents and presents them to the world.
“Honestly, in Ghana, I look up to EL, Okyeame Kwame,Sarkodie and Obrafour, and International those I look up to are; Kanye West, J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar” he said.
Again he said “am planning to do collaborations with some artists like; Jay So, EL, Obrafour, M’anifest and some unsigned/upcoming artists very soon”.
As a result of hard work and his awesome performances, Opeimu has been able to perform in some of the tertiaries top class events, like; Legon Hall Week Celebration, Presbyterian University College SRC Week, Koforidua Polytechnic SRC week and many more. He has mounted and shared the same stage with Former BET Award winner Sarkodie, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Mr. Eazi among others.
Opeimu is currently working on his full mixtape album and some of his songs are already online in some entertainment blogs/websites.
