Finally, the Dumosr Must Stop campaign which started gradually on social media has gathered enough momentum and may get unto the streets as lawyers for Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson and Michael Owusu Addo popularly referred to as Sakodie have written to the Ghana Police to notify them of a ‘peaceful vigil’ they intend to hold on May 16.
Dated May 4, Yvonne Neslon shared a copy of the letter signed by messrs Kofi Bentil and Nana Kwasi Awuah on social media.
The Ghana Police Service is however yet to approve or deny the request put forward.
If approved, the vigil will bring together a lot of celebrities who have since chastised authorities for staying silent on the unbearable power rationing.
Participants are expected to gather at the University of Ghana football field on May 16 and proceed peacefully to the Green park opposite the Villagio at the Tettey Quashie Interchange.
