Chelsea have reportedly made enquires about Augsburg’s prodigious left-back Baba Rahman ahead of a potential £20 million move.
Chelsea are plotting a stunning £20million bid for Ghana international Baba Rahman, according to reports.
The Daily Star claims that Jose Mourinho wants the 20-year-old Augsburg star to replace Atletico Madrid-bound Filipe Luis.
The FC Augsburg full-back is attracting interest from the Premier League after an impressive season in the Bundesliga and Chelsea are ready to swoop before their rivals.
After a disappointing debut season in England, Filipe Luis could be set to move on this summer with former side Atletico Madrid rumoured to be interested.
Luis’ departure would open the door for Rahman, who has 11 caps for Ghana, to make his move to Stamford Bridge and Jose Mourinho is confident of securing a £20m deal, according to reports.
Rahman has made 11 appearances for his national team and has been central to Augsburg’s excellent Bundesliga campaign, in which they finished a lofty fifth position.
